Thiru is a seasoned industry leader with over 25 years of experience in the food processing and industrial manufacturing sectors. He currently serves as Programme Director, where he provides strategic oversight and leads major project initiatives in the building materials sector. In addition, he is the responsible for driving large-scale industrial projects across the Group’s food and manufacturing businesses. 

 

Mr. Subbarao’s professional journey started with Flour Tech Engineers (Pvt) Limited in India and later joined Wilmar International in Singapore as Operations Manager, where he managed flour and pasta operations across multiple African markets.

 

He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Post-Diploma in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) from Calcutta, India. His technical foundation is further strengthened by certifications in Flour Milling Technology from the International School of Milling Technology at CFTRI, Mysore, and in Executive Milling from Kansas State University, USA. He also completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
